Ministry of Manpower Employee Performance Allowances Increased in 2024

The Indonesian government has increased performance allowances (tukin) for employees within the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

This decision is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 133 of 2024, ratified by President Joko Widodo on Friday, October 18, 2024, two days before his term ended.

The regulation states, "That in accordance with the achievements of the bureaucratic reform implementation, the Ministry of Manpower has met the criteria for an adjustment of performance allowances."

The value of these allowances varies according to job class. The lowest allowance is for job class 1, amounting to Rp2.53 million per month, up from the previous Rp1.97 million per month.

The highest allowance is for job class 17, amounting to Rp33.24 million per month, up from the previous Rp26.32 million per month.

It should be noted that this allowance is not given to employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or are dismissed from their organic position.

The allowance is also not given to employees who are on leave without government support or are on leave of absence for retirement preparation.

With this change, the previous regulation, Perpres 93/2018 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within Kemnaker, is no longer valid.
