The Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) has proposed an additional budget of Rp27.8 trillion in the 2025 State Budget (APBN). Previously, the budget allocation for next year was set at Rp505.5 billion.
Therefore, the total budget received by IKN next year will be Rp28.3 trillion.
"For the first time in history, the leadership and members, there's a record-breaking proposal from Commission II partners exceeding Rp10 trillion," said Mardani Ali Sera, a member of the DPR Commission II from the PKS faction, in a meeting with the DPR RI Working Partners on Monday (9/9/2024).
Despite this, the DPR Commission II still supports the proposal. Mardani urged the OIKN to maintain accountability and transparency in the allocation of this budget.
This additional budget proposal is to meet the needs of six deputy offices within the OIKN.
Acting Deputy Head of OIKN, Raja Juli Antoni, explained that the largest budget allocation will be channeled to the Infrastructure and Facilities Deputy Office, amounting to Rp26.7 trillion.
