The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that the realization of state expenditure in the State Budget (APBN) reached Rp1.005 trillion in May 2023. This realization increased by 7.1% compared to the same period the previous year (year-on-year/yoy).

On the other hand, the realization of transfer expenditure to regions (TKD) amounted to Rp290.3 trillion, or increased by 2.1% (yoy).

Meanwhile, state revenue grew by 13% (yoy) to Rp1.209.3 trillion in May 2023. The higher revenue compared to expenditure resulted in a surplus of Rp204.3 trillion in the APBN. This surplus is equivalent to 0.97% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
