Microsoft founder Bill Gates occupied fourth place with a total net worth of US$129 billion. He was followed by prominent American investor Warren Buffett, with a net worth of US$118 billion.

The United States remained the leading country with the most billionaires in the world in 2022. A total of 735 billionaires resided in the country, with a combined net worth of US$4.7 trillion.
