Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region, Saturday (17/8): Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (17/8/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, milkfish, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, pure beef, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp4,880 (12.8%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Red onion prices decreased the most by Rp3,900 (19.6%) to Rp16,000 per kg.

4. Mackerel: Rp36,000 per kg (down 2.99%)
5. Garlic Cloves: Rp34,000 per kg (down 4.47%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,000 per kg (up 0.36%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp32,000 per kg (down 2.5%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (down 9.69%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,000 per kg (up 0.85%)
10. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (up 1.49%)
