Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (2/1/2025) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are SHP rice, pure beef, fine iodized salt, mackerel, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, shallots, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,900 (5.14%) to Rp38,890 per kg. Milkfish experienced the sharpest price decrease of Rp2,000 (5.72%) to Rp32,950 per kg.
