Red Onion Prices for Medium Size in These 10 Provinces Are the Highest (Friday, September 9, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of medium-sized shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 59,525 per kg, as of Friday, September 9, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 63,980 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets in Bangka Belitung Islands was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 89,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized shallots in this province is lower, previously recorded at Rp 89,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi, the price of medium-sized shallots was sold at Rp 88,950 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-sized shallots in Central Sulawesi was Rp 88,450 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 88,200 per kg, and Central Kalimantan Rp 79,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 15 provinces with medium-sized shallot sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-sized shallots are Aceh, Riau Islands, and North Sumatra.
