Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Chicken, Beef, and Rice Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (10/7/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, mackerel, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, red chili peppers, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and dry soybean seeds (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,310 (21.26%), reaching Rp18,880 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp12,540 (23.13%), reaching Rp41,670 per kg.
