Price of Grade II Low-Quality Rice in Traditional Markets April 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of Grade II low-quality rice in traditional markets of South Sumatra province is recorded at Rp13,200. This price has remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of Grade II low-quality rice in traditional markets has not changed from the previously recorded Rp13,200.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Grade II low-quality rice in traditional markets of South Sumatra has decreased by 1.12% in the last three months. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of Grade II low-quality rice in traditional markets of South Sumatra province was traded at Rp13,350.

The record increase in the daily price of Grade II low-quality rice in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in August 2017 with an increase of 223.12%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2017 with a decrease of -68.34%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in South Sumatra shows seven commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Medium Grade II Rice, Daily Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Green Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province.
