Jakarta's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:19 PM WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp3,760 (5.84%) to Rp68,110 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel prices decreased the most by Rp3,350 (8.82%) to Rp34,630 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.66%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,020 per kg (up 0.82%)
8. Mackerel: Rp34,630 per kg (down 8.82%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,610 per kg (down 7.21%)
