Third Quarter 2019 Investment Realization: Highest in the Last Five Years

The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) reports that investment realization in the third quarter reached Rp 601.3 trillion. Domestic Investment (PMDN) realization amounted to Rp 283.5 trillion, and Foreign Investment (PMA) reached Rp 317.8 trillion. This year's investment realization increased by 12.3% compared to the same period in 2018.

This increase in investment realization is driven by the smooth running of the April general election, signaling a positive outlook for investors. BKPM Head Bahlil Lahadalia is optimistic that this year's investment realization target will be achieved. Furthermore, the achievement from January to September 2019 has reached 75.9 percent of the target.

2019 recorded the highest investment realization value in the last five years as of the third quarter. The value has steadily increased year-on-year since 2015, which only totaled Rp 400 trillion.
