East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Sunday, March 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (31/3/2024) at 08.04 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, milkfish, shallot bulbs, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, medium rice, farmer-level corn, bulk cooking oil, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp520 (4.28%) to Rp12,670 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease of Rp1,740 (5.17%) to Rp31,940 per kg.

8. Red Onion: Rp28,170 per kg (up 0.54%)
9. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,940 per kg (down 1.2%)
10. Red Chili Peppers: Rp25,630 per kg (up 0.12%)
