Red Chili Pepper Prices at Traditional Markets, April 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in West Sulawesi Province is recorded at Rp38,950. This price is down Rp16,700 compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp34,900.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in West Sulawesi over the past three months has increased by 77.45% from the previous Rp21,950.

The record increase in the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2021 with an increase of 90.25%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2021 with a decrease of -43.65%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sulawesi show two commodities decreased and 22 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province and Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province.

6. Shallots per Kg daily in Traditional Markets by Province Rp38,900 (up 22.14%)
7. Red Chili per Kg daily in Traditional Markets by Province Rp38,950 (up 11.6%)
