Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (17/5/2024) at 17.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, red chilies, curly red chilies, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, iodized fine salt, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp410 (1.01%) to Rp40,870 per kg. Iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp300 (2.63%) to Rp11,110 per kg.
