Low-Quality Rice I Prices in Riau Islands are the Highest Nationally (Friday, October 7, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of IDR 12,120 per kg for low-quality grade I rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, October 7, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of IDR 12,125 per kg.

The price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets in Riau Islands was the highest in Indonesia at IDR 13,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade I rice in this province did not change. The highest price ever recorded in this region was IDR 15,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Papua, low-quality grade I rice was sold at IDR 13,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of low-quality grade I rice in Central Kalimantan was IDR 13,150 per kg, South Kalimantan IDR 13,050 per kg, and West Papua IDR 12,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 11 provinces with low-quality grade I rice sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for low-quality grade I rice are Jambi, West Sulawesi, and West Nusa Tenggara.
