Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Chicken, Chili, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (17/9/2024) at 14.26 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, pure beef, farmer-level corn, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, simple packaged cooking oil, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp50 (0.31%) to Rp16,290 per liter. Curly red chilies saw the largest price decrease of Rp310 (0.89%) to Rp34,500 per kg.
