Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down (Tuesday, February 27, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (27/2/2024) at 08.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chili peppers, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic bulbs, medium rice, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili pepper prices surged the highest by Rp8,270 (14.51%) to Rp65,270 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of medium rice decreased the least by Rp430 (3.31%) to Rp12,570 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp33,220 per kg (down 3.26%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,690 per kg (up 4.54%)
8. Indian Mackerel: Rp32,170 per kg (down 2.96%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,460 per kg (up 2.15%)
10. Red Onion: Rp27,180 per kg (up 1.23%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,740 per kg (up 0.72%)
