Daily Prices of Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets of South Sumatra Province Increased by 36.88% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:44 PM WIB, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province increased by Rp1,250 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp88,150.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets has increased from Rp64,400.

Meanwhile, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 60.27% from the previous trading price of Rp55,000.

The record high for the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with a 53.25% increase, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in May 2020 with a -34.75% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra show five commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Low-Quality Rice I, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Low-Quality Rice II, and Medium-Quality Rice I.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in South Sumatra Province:
