Red Chili Pepper Prices in Jakarta Reach Rp 133,400 per Kg (Tuesday, October 11, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of large red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 93,990 per kg, as of Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 95,960 per kg.

The daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in DKI Jakarta was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 133,400 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of large red chilies in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 134,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in East Kalimantan, large red chilies were sold at Rp 131,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of large red chilies in South Sumatra was Rp 126,000 per kg, West Kalimantan Rp 125,900 per kg, and South Kalimantan Rp 125,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 15 provinces with large red chili sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for large red chilies were West Nusa Tenggara, West Sulawesi, and North Sumatra.
