Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (28/12/2024) at 11:57 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, fine iodized salt, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,760 (4.55%) to Rp40,430 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp650 (1.72%) to Rp37,230 per kg.
