Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Tuesday, March 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (5/3/2024) at 12:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, simple packaged cooking oil, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices increased the most by Rp250 (0.75%) to Rp33,430 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most by Rp480 (6.42%) to Rp7,000 per kg.
