Jakarta, Monday Food Prices (May 27th): Rice and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (27/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, curly red chilies, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Granulated sugar saw the highest price increase of Rp350 (1.89%) to Rp18.830 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp2.800 (6.6%) to Rp39.630 per kg.
