Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (7/7/2024) at 15:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic bulbs, SPHP rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, shallots, farmer-level corn, milkfish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp590 (1.22%) to Rp49,070 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp260 (0.83%) to Rp31,030 per kg.
