West Sumatra Food Prices Tuesday (September 17th): Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (17/9/2024) at 09.58 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, red chilies, broiler chicken, premium rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, farmer-level corn, garlic cloves, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp 9,520 (25.67%) to Rp 46,600 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp 20,360 (36.78%) to Rp 35,000 per kg.

2. Mackerel: Rp 48,340 per kg (up 2.89%)
3. Skipjack Tuna: Rp 46,600 per kg (up 25.67%)
4. Garlic Cloves: Rp 38,470 per kg (down 0.72%)
5. Red Chili: Rp 35,000 per kg (down 36.78%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp 33,990 per kg (up 1.1%)
7. Red Chili (Keriting): Rp 33,220 per kg (up 2.31%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp 28,520 per kg (down 0.9%)
9. Red Onion: Rp 20,280 per kg (up 1.91%)
10. Sugar: Rp 18,170 per kg (up 1.11%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp 17,800 per liter (down 0.34%)
12. Premium Rice: Rp 17,530 per kg (up 0.06%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp 15,970 per liter (up 6.11%)
