Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Oil and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (17/9/2024) at 12.06 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, shallots, red chilies, broiler chicken, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp640 (1.68%) to Rp38,790 per kg. Shallot prices decreased the most, by Rp540 (2.2%) to Rp24,040 per kg.
