Green Chili Prices in Central Java Increased by 10.16% in a Week

The price of green chilies in Central Java was Rp 55,850 per kg on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area saw the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of green chilies in Central Java has increased by 10.16% in a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of green chilies in this region has increased by 6.18%.

However, over the past year, the selling price of green chilies in Central Java's modern markets has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 72,800 per kg.

From January to May 2022, the price of green chilies in modern markets showed a downward trend, decreasing by 6.18% compared to the previous month.

The price of green chilies reached its lowest point at Rp 50,700 per kg on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. The highest price this year reached approximately Rp 66,550 per kg.

Nationally, the price of green chilies began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of green chilies in modern markets was Rp 72,180 per kg, down 3.27% compared to the previous weekend.
