Today's Food Prices in Central Java on February 19: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Peppers Fall

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 19, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include premium packaged palm cooking oil, broiler chicken eggs, medium rice, curly red chili peppers, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as premium rice, bulk palm cooking oil, Honan garlic, and large red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices jumped the highest by Rp1,109 (1.45%) to Rp77,514 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili pepper prices fell the most by Rp109 (0.29%) to Rp37,276 per kg.
