10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Medium-Grade I Rice (Friday, March 24, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 13,810 per kg for medium-quality type I rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, March 24, 2023. Overall, this week's average price increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 13,530 per kg.

The daily price of medium-quality type I rice in modern markets in West Sumatra was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 17,600 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-quality type I rice in this province is higher, previously recorded at Rp 13,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi, medium-quality type I rice was sold at Rp 17,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of medium-quality type I rice in Banten was Rp 15,850 per kg, Gorontalo Rp 15,200 per kg, and West Java Rp 15,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, 20 provinces had medium-quality type I rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-quality type I rice were Jambi, West Sulawesi, and East Java.
