Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (12/7/2024) at 13:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, milkfish, iodized fine salt, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, corn (farmer level), premium rice, pure beef, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase, up Rp2,940 (6.45%) to Rp48,500 per kg. Shallots experienced the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,280 (4.44%) to Rp27,580 per kg.
