Daily Red Chili Prices in Traditional Markets of Central Java Province Have Fallen 36.13% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:44 PM WIB, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in Central Java Province has dropped by Rp 50 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 24,400.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from Rp 38,200.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in Central Java over the past three months has fallen by 51.49%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in Central Java Province was traded at Rp 50,300.

The record high for the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with an increase of 45.45%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2017 with a decrease of -36.74%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show 22 commodities decreased and seven others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Medium Quality Rice II, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Granulated Sugar, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Chicken Meat, Cooking Oil, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Red Chili Peppers, Grade 1 Beef, Green Chili Peppers, Super Quality Rice II, Chili Peppers, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Large Red Chilies, Red Chilies, Medium-Sized Garlic, Super Quality Rice I, Garlic, Medium-Sized Shallots, Shallots, Curly Red Chilies, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in Central Java Province:
