Today's Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (2/7/2024) at 11:43 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, milkfish, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp6,050 (14.3%) to Rp48,360 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,450 (12.46%) to Rp10,190 per kg.
