Central Java Food Price Update Today: Beef Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Friday, March 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (22/3/2024) at 10:11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) prices saw the highest increase of Rp320 (2.72%) to Rp12,090 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt saw the lowest decrease of Rp1,560 (13.13%) to Rp10,320 per kg.
