Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Wednesday, May 18, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 72,810 per kg, as of Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 79,150 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 123,700 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 109,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Kalimantan, chili peppers were sold at Rp 107,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in West Kalimantan was Rp 105,500 per kg, Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 102,450 per kg, and North Maluku Rp 93,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 10 provinces with chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and Aceh.
