Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Oil Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (28/8/2024) at 11:16 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, livestock-grade corn, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp430 (6.87%) to Rp6,690 per kg. Red onion prices saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp330 (1.5%) to Rp21,700 per kg.
