Food Prices in DKI Jakarta Wednesday (29/10): Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (10/29/2025) at 12:14 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were curly red chili, packaged wheat flour, consumption sugar, red cayenne pepper, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, consumption salt, Minyakita, broiler chicken meat, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Imported dry soybean seeds recorded the highest surge, Rp1,400 (14.58%) to Rp11,000 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices saw the sharpest drop, Rp1,898 (4.07%) to Rp44,769 per kg.
