The price of medium-quality II rice in South Sulawesi Province's modern markets increased by 1.36% in the last month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in South Sulawesi Province is recorded at Rp14,900 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly unchanged over the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp14,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets over the last three months in South Sulawesi has decreased by 1%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in South Sulawesi Province was traded at Rp15,050 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2024 with an increase of 6.47%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2023 with a decrease of -10.56%.

PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sulawesi recorded six commodities decreasing and 15 others increasing. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Cooking Oil, Red Onion, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Chicken Eggs, and Medium-Sized Red Onion.
