Price of Medium-Sized Red Onions in Traditional Markets, February 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets of Gorontalo province was observed to rise by Rp150 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp50,000.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets increased from the previously recorded Rp42,950.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in Gorontalo over the past three months has decreased by 5.57%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets of Gorontalo province was traded at Rp52,950.

The record increase in the daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2024 with a 64.36% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2020 with a -22.06% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Gorontalo today showed seven commodities decreasing and 16 others increasing. The sembako with decreasing prices are Daily Red Cayenne Peppers in Provincial Traditional Markets, Daily Red Chilies in Provincial Traditional Markets, Daily Cayenne Peppers in Provincial Traditional Markets, Daily Curly Red Chilies in Provincial Traditional Markets, Rice in Provincial Traditional Markets, Super I Quality Rice, and Medium I Quality Rice.
