Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (February 14, 2025) at 08:58 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 19 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are layer chicken eggs, Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, farmer-level corn, milkfish, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Indian mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp651 (1.62%) to Rp40,714 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp2,800 (5.5%) to Rp48,113 per kg.
