Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (27/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallot cloves, fine iodized salt, red chili peppers, SPHP rice, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp710 (2.29%) to Rp31,750 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price drop of Rp3,210 (8.16%) to Rp36,120 per kg.
