Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (28/10/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, premium rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp440 (1.73%), reaching Rp25,840 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp750 (3.79%), reaching Rp19,050 per kg.
