Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Monday, January 29, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (29/1/2024) at 11:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, red chilies, curly red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, fine iodized salt, milkfish, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp460 (1.07%) to Rp43,320 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,010 (3.16%) to Rp30,960 per kg.
