Current Food Prices in Banten: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Food prices in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (14/8/2024) at 2:48 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, premium rice, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic cloves, SPHP rice, red chilies, medium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, up Rp970 (3.84%) to Rp26,240 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,770 (2.53%) to Rp68,200 per kg.
