BRI Liga 1 Week Three Standings: Barito Putera Now in the Lead

The third matchday of the 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 concluded with a match between Persija Jakarta and Bhayangkara at Patriot Chandrabagha Stadium, Bekasi, on Sunday (16/7/2023). Macan Kemayoran (Persija's nickname) won convincingly with a 4-1 score.

Marko Simic scored two goals in the 18th and 34th minutes. The other two goals for Persija were scored by Riko Simanjuntak and Muhammad Akbar Arjunsyah.

This was Macan Kemayoran's first win in Liga 1 2023/24, after drawing against PSM (1-1) and Persikabo (0-0). As a result, Persija entered the top 10, specifically sixth place, with 5 points.

Barito Putera took over the top spot in the standings, previously held by RANS Nusantara FC, with 7 points.

Dewa United followed with the same score, but lost on goal difference, placing them second.

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC remained in last place without any points after suffering three consecutive defeats.

Up to the third week of the BRI Liga 1 2023/24, only four teams remained undefeated: Barito Putera, Dewa United, Persija, and Persib.
