Garlic Prices at Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province has increased by Rp900 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp43,400.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets has increased from Rp41,250.

Meanwhile, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 9.46% from Rp39,650.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in this province was in February 2018, with a 29.77% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2019, with a -15.85% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show 15 commodities decreased and 13 increased. The commodities with decreased prices are: Daily Green Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, Super I Rice, Inferior I Rice, Inferior II Rice, Daily Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province, Rice in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Red Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Premium Quality Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium I Rice, Medium II Rice, Daily Curly Red Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, Super II Rice, Daily Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chilies in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Local Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province.

6. Grade 2 Beef per Kg in Traditional Markets by Province Rp150,000 (up 3.45%)
7. Fresh Broiler Chicken per Kg in Traditional Markets by Province Rp52,900 (up 16.26%)
8. Shallots per Kg in Traditional Markets by Province Rp40,000 (up 14.29%)
