East Java Food Prices Tuesday (31/12): Chili Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (31/12/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, garlic cloves, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,630 (4.68%) to Rp58,790 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp80 (1.43%) to Rp5,500 per kg.
