Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (12/9/2024) at 11:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, premium rice, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices increased the most by Rp450 (1.73%) to Rp26,520 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most sharply by Rp1,250 (10.62%) to Rp10,520 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,270 per kg (up 0.28%)
10. Red Onions: Rp26,520 per kg (up 1.73%)
