Chili Prices in North Kalimantan Increased by 33.33% in a Week

The price of chili peppers in North Kalimantan reached Rp 150,000 per kg on Monday, March 7, 2022. Compared to other regions, this is the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, chili pepper prices in North Kalimantan have increased by 33.33% in a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of chili peppers in this region has increased by 71.43%.

However, over the past year, the selling price of chili peppers in North Kalimantan's modern markets has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 200,000 per kg.

From January to March 2022, the price of chili peppers in modern markets has steadily increased, rising 71.43% compared to the previous month.

Chili pepper prices reached a low of Rp 75,000 per kg on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, and a high of Rp 187,500 per kg.

Nationally, chili pepper prices began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of chili peppers in modern markets is Rp 81,770 per kg, a 3.48% increase compared to the end of last week.
