Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Up, Cooking Oil Down (Saturday, April 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (6/4/2024) at 13:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, pure beef, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp4,940 (11.05%) to Rp49,660 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil decreased the most, by Rp150 (0.98%) to Rp15,180 per liter.
