Food Prices Saturday (December 21st) Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 saw price increases and 9 saw decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include granulated sugar, dry soybeans (import), broiler chicken, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk cooking oil, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili saw the highest price increase at Rp4,010 (10.74%), reaching Rp41,340 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price decrease at Rp1,450 (3.56%), reaching Rp39,260 per kg.
