Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Eggs, Red Chilies, and Bird's Eye Chilies Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (27/3/2025) at 17:52 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, shallots, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, large red chilies, dry soybean (import), and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp857 (2.53%) to Rp34,797 per kg. Mackerel experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing Rp353 (0.66%) to Rp53,064 per kg.
